Medical Executive Committee is in the process of adopting ICU admissions co-managed by intensivist, cardiologist or pulmontologist or appropriate consultant. The appropriate consultant is involved in a timely manner before they come to ICU, i.e. ER physician is expected to contact appropriate specialist to be directly involved in case of these pts. in a timely manner. The Cardiologist on call is involved from ER itself, on all pts with AMI our hospital is one of the original hospitals which has been selected in the Guidelines Applied in Practice (GAP) Project from The American College of Cardiology.
